The Franciscan Place

The Franciscan Place, also known as Assumption Church, is located in Syracuse, New York. The church and its outreach ministries have served the Syracuse Northside community since 1845. The congregation is composed of people from throughout Central New York who worship and form community in the inclusive, down-to-earth spirit of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. The church's mission is to bring the Gospel message of peace, reconciliation, and love to their neighbors. The organization operates several community service programs including a food pantry, soup kitchen, and the Poverello Health Center. The church also offers confession services and welcomes volunteers to participate in their various ministries.
