St. John Chrysostom Eastern Orthodox Church is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America located in Woodside, New York. The diverse, multi-ethnic community conducts services in English and welcomes all. The parish was founded in September 1958 to serve Orthodox families seeking Divine Services in English and Orthodox education for their children. After initially meeting in parishioners' homes and rented spaces, the church building was blessed on May 20, 1962. The property extends from 45th Avenue to 44th Avenue and is visible from Queens Boulevard. The parish has undergone several renovations, including a new iconostasis in 1980 and a new rectory constructed in the 1990s. It is part of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey and the New York City Deanery.
