Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina is a Baptist congregation founded on May 14, 1969 by 20 persons under the leadership of Reverend John G. Whitfield. The church was named Emmanuel, meaning God with us. The church has grown through three major building phases since its establishment, with Phase III completed in 1996. Currently led by Dr. Kimberly Moore, who was elected as the first female Senior Pastor in the Gaston County Baptist Association in November 2008, the church serves its community through worship services, youth programs, and Bible study offerings. The church maintains an active presence both in-person and through digital platforms including Facebook and YouTube.
