Mt. Level Missionary Baptist Church is located at 316 Hebron Road in Durham, North Carolina. The church was established in 1864 in Butner, Granville County, originally as a small cabin serving 50 members. In 1888, the cabin was replaced with a larger frame building. The congregation relocated to its current Durham location in 1944 after the original site was affected by government acquisition for Camp Butner military base. Dr. William C. Turner Jr. has served as pastor since December 1990. The church offers Sunday services with Sunday School via ZOOM and worship services streamed live on Facebook, along with Wednesday prayer and Bible study sessions both online and in-person.
