St Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, Raleigh, NC

St. Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church is a parish under the Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of India, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The church traces its origins to Saint Thomas, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ, who founded the church in India in AD 52. The congregation is led by Rev. Dr. M K Thomas, who has served for more than two decades. The church's new sanctuary was consecrated on December 7th, 2013, by His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Metropolitan of the Northeast American Diocese. The parish conducts regular Holy Qurbana services to serve the spiritual needs of its members. Additionally, the church operates a Sunday School program for children that follows the official curriculum of the Indian Orthodox Church, providing instruction in Bible study, Orthodox Christian faith and beliefs, church history, liturgical hymns, and important prayers.
