St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral

Cleveland, Ohio

St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Cathedral is the oldest Romanian Orthodox parish in the United States, founded in 1904. Located at 3256 Warren Road in Cleveland's Kamm's Corners neighborhood, the current cathedral building was constructed in 1960, replacing the church's original home on Detroit Avenue in the old Romanian area of the city. The parish is part of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America. St. Mary's serves the Romanian Orthodox community and maintains cultural and ethnic traditions through various programs including an Ethnic Art Museum, parish history documentation, and cultural activities. The cathedral hosts events such as the annual Lenten Fish Fry and maintains a virtual tour for visitors.
