St. Patrick Catholic Church
Portland, Oregon
St. Patrick Catholic Church is the oldest Catholic church in greater Portland, located in northwest Portland. The cornerstone was laid on St. Patrick's Day in 1889, and the church was dedicated in 1891 to honor Ireland's Apostle, St. Patrick. The church serves as a beacon of faith and hope in the community. The parish's mission is to sincerely worship Jesus Christ and receive His healing and saving power through reverent liturgical celebrations, selfless relationships, and orthodox catechesis. The church is deeply rooted in the traditions and rituals of the Roman Church and works to be an authentic Christ-centered community. The parish currently operates a restoration project to return the historic church to its original condition.
