St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral is a multi-ethnic Orthodox Christian parish located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The cathedral welcomes Orthodox Christians from all backgrounds as well as inquirers seeking to learn about the Ancient Christian Faith. English is the primary language used in the parish. The community aims to help visitors become part of the original Christian Church through the Apostolic tradition preserved and practiced in the Eastern Orthodox Church. St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral is part of the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania, presided over by The Most Reverend Mark (Maymon), Archbishop of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania. The parish's mission is to bring the joy of Christ's resurrection to those unfamiliar with the Gospel and to strengthen and encourage the faithful residing in Philadelphia and the surrounding local area.
