Church of St. Mary on Broadway is a Traditional Latin Mass parish located in Cranston, Rhode Island, and part of the Diocese of Providence. Erected in 1853, it is one of the state's most historic parishes. The current Gothic church structure was built of Westerly Granite and completed in 1869, then consecrated on June 7, 1901. In 2018, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin entrusted the parish to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) to serve as a Traditional Latin Mass parish for the faithful in Rhode Island and surrounding areas. All Masses and Sacraments are offered according to the liturgical books of 1962, as expressed in the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI. The parish offers a full parochial life including catechism, sacramental preparation, devotions, and youth formation groups.
