St Peters-St Andrews Episcopal

St. Peter's and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is a small but vibrant congregation located in Providence, Rhode Island, serving the Mt. Pleasant and Elmhurst communities. Founded in 1972, the parish resulted from the merger of two congregations after a fire devastated St. Peter's in Johnston. The church practices unconditional love of God and welcomes all people regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, health status, or spiritual journey. The congregation gathers each Sunday for worship, prayer, and song. Beyond worship, the church operates extensive outreach programs including a weekly food pantry serving over 200 families, a thrift store, English language learner classes, and children's programs. The parish is led by Reverend Maryalice Sullivan, Vicar since 2018, and Deacon Trisha Thorme, who joined in fall 2024. The church emphasizes compassion, service, and community engagement as central to its mission and faith practice.
