Bright City Church

Bright City Church is located in Charleston, South Carolina and holds Sunday gatherings at 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM. The church was founded in 2013 when the Connolly family and four others moved from Fort Wayne, Indiana to plant a church in Charleston. They officially launched on January 19, 2014 at James Simons Elementary in downtown Charleston. In 2017, the church changed its name from Gospel Community to Bright City Church, based on Matthew 5:16-18, reflecting their calling to shine brightly in their community and culture. In April 2019, the church relocated to a building at 59 Piedmont Avenue. Bright City Church emphasizes ownership rather than membership, encouraging people to be co-workers in the faith. Their core values include promises, people, power, presence, practice, and prayer. The church offers various programs including Bright City Clubs for community building around shared interests.
