Big Harpeth United Primitive Baptist Association is a fellowship of United Primitive Baptist churches spanning the Middle Tennessee area, Kentucky, and Illinois. The association comprises 22 member churches with their respective pastors, led by Association Moderator Dr. Ronnie J. Russell, Sr. The organization's mission since 1866 has been to remain engaged by the Holy Spirit, walk together in Christian love, and advance the true church in the knowledge of holiness. The association emphasizes serving as Ambassadors for Christ, maintaining strong union amongst member churches, sustaining worship and doctrine, and supporting evangelistic ministry and relief of the poor. Their current theme is Celebrating The Church: Liberating The Oppressed, based on Luke 4:18-19.
