The cathedral annually celebrates the Feast of Corpus Christi with a 5 p.m. Vigil Mass followed by a Eucharistic Procession through downtown San Antonio, led by the Auxiliary Bishop. The procession serves to publicly proclaim faith in Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist and bring Christ into the world as a form of liturgical prayer and public witness of faith.
