About LDS Genesis Group Meetinghouse

We are an official group of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, organized as a multi-stake activity group in the Utah Area. Established in October 1971 by the First Presidency to serve African-American Latter-day Saints, we continue to support black Latter-day Saints, their families, and friends through gospel-centered activities. We host monthly devotionals on the first Sunday featuring music, word, and testimony. Our additional annual activities include a summer BBQ in June, a Christmas party in December, and seasonal breakfasts for brothers and sisters. We are led by President Ronell Hugh and operate under the direction of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles through the Utah Area Presidency.
