About Christ the King Catholic Church

Christ the King Catholic Church is located in Queenswood, Pretoria, in Gauteng Province, South Africa, and serves the Queenswood area and surroundings in the City of Tshwane. The parish is part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Pretoria. Founded in 1967 by Fr Denis Adami, the parish community is diverse, comprising long-time residents, members of the diplomatic community, and students from the University of Pretoria and Tshwane University of Technology. The church features a distinctive 20-meter stained glass Wall of Light designed by artist Leo Theron, with a gold-leafed crucifix as the central altarpiece. The parish established a Chapel of Perpetual Adoration in November 2000 and operates the Denis Adami Centre for catechism classes, youth meetings, and community gatherings. Current priest is Fr Daniel Kivuw'a IMC.
