The Franciscan Friars of Our Lady Queen of Peace province is a branch of the worldwide Roman Catholic fraternity of the Order of Friars Minor founded by St Francis of Assisi. Located in Vanderbijlpark in the Vaal Triangle, the friars serve as brothers and priests devoted to communal life of poverty, prayer and service to the people of God. The province engages in diverse ministries including pastoral parochial ministry, formation of candidates, seminary teaching, retreat animation, spiritual accompaniment, youth ministry, skills training, development projects, and support for those affected by HIV-AIDS. The friars seek to be a force for change by bringing God's love to those they serve, healing wounds and serving the poor and needy throughout Southern Africa.
