Nkosi 'COSY' Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church is located in Rustenburg, North West, and serves the communities of Tlhabane, Ledig, and Chaneng. Founded in 1952, the church was built by Reverend William Patrick Nkosi, a skilled bricklayer who arrived in Tlhabane in 1950 with his wife Mother Esther Louisa Nkosi. The church building was completed in 1952 and solemnly dedicated by Bishop IH Bonner in 1953. With 508 members across 3 congregations, the church operates with a mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ through authentic worship, intentional fellowship, practical service, and passionate outreach. The congregation follows the vision of moving Upward toward God, Within each other in love, and Outward into communities, grounded in Scripture and African Methodist Episcopal doctrine.
