Bellville Methodist Church

Bellville Methodist Church is a Methodist congregation in Cape Town, Western Cape, affiliated with the Methodist Church of Southern Africa under the Cape of Good Hope District. The church was established in 1950 when the first Methodist service was held on 5 February 1950 in the former Bellville Library hall with 62 attendees. A church hall was initially constructed, followed by the official opening of Bellville Methodist on 20 December 1952. The Methodist church building was constructed twenty years later opposite the hall. The church operates with a mission statement to reach, equip and serve as a family community. The congregation engages in various ministries including youth programs, young adults Bible study, and community outreach initiatives.
