This chapter is about Jesus refusing to be treated as a usef
John 6:35–58
John 6 exposes how easily “faith” turns Jesus into a means—free bread, political leverage, religious proof—and then shows Jesus deliberately sabotaging that arrangement by insisting the only way to have him is to consume him, not use him. The scandal isn’t the miracle but the demand for total dependence: you don’t recruit the Bread of Life to your program; you either receive him on his terms or you walk away.
