Micah 5:2–5
Micah 5 says God’s “peace” doesn’t arrive by upgrading Israel’s defenses but by humiliating its current leadership, raising a shepherd-king from nowhere (Bethlehem), and then dismantling Israel’s own horses, fortresses, and religious technologies—deliverance that feels like disarmament and loss of control.
