Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
Even when circumstances make it feel like we are alone or forgotten, God remains committed to us. His renaming of Jerusalem and her land symbolizes His active involvement in restoring relationships and bringing life out of desolation. This teaches that true abandonment is not from God; He always has a plan for restoration.
