Assumption of Moses 12:1-13
And Moses, when he heard his lamentation, said to Joshua: Do not weep for me, but listen to the words which I shall speak to you.
Every nation that is in the world God has created, and he has foreseen them and us from the beginning of the creation of the world even to the end of the age.
And nothing has been neglected by him, even to the smallest thing, but he has foreseen all things and caused all to come forth.
The Lord has seen and foreknown all things; he has ordained them. His purpose is to fulfill them.
For the Lord has appointed me on their behalf to pray for their sins and to make intercession for them.
Do you think that it was without the foreknowledge of God that his spirit was implanted in me?
For long ago he prepared and ordained me, who was formed from the beginning of the world, to be the mediator of his covenant.
And now I tell you that the time of the years of my life is fulfilled, and I am passing away to sleep with my fathers, even in the presence of all the people.
And take this writing, so that you may know how to preserve the books which I shall deliver to you.
And you shall arrange them, and anoint them with oil of cedar, and put them away in earthen vessels in the place which God chose from the beginning, that his name should be called upon there,
until the day of repentance in the visitation with which the Lord will visit them in the consummation of the end of the days.
And with this word Moses departed; and Joshua wept, and all Israel mourned for thirty days.
And the Lord God lifted up Moses to himself, and no one has known the place of his tomb to this day.
