Immaculate Heart of Mary Church
Missoula, Montana
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is a traditional Catholic church located in Black Eagle, Montana adjacent to Great Falls. The church offers the traditional Latin Mass daily according to the Roman Missal of 1954, prior to Vatican II liturgical changes. The church is associated with the Society of St. Pius V, an organization of traditional Catholic priests. The church was established in a converted gymnasium from the former Collins (Hawthorne) School, purchased from the Great Falls School District in late 1987, with the first Mass offered on July 11, 1988. The facility has undergone ongoing renovation including the addition of a choir loft, bell tower, pipe organ installation, and leaded stained glass windows. The church conducts a two-week summer catechism program averaging 90 students annually, taught by the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Our Savior. The church publishes The Roman Catholic magazine, church calendars, and a Latin Ordo for priests.
