2 Meqabyan 18:1-14
1You people who do not believe the dead will rise - how great is your error! When you are taken to the place you do not know, you will feel useless regrets.
2Whether you did good or evil, you will receive your reward according to your work. For you misled the minds of your companions by saying, We know that the dead, who are dust and ashes, will not rise.
3Since their death has no exit, and since they have no power against the chastisement that shall come upon them - for this reason they misled their companions.
4When He is angry with them in His wrath, they will be struck with total fear.
5They do not know the Gehenna to which they will go. Because they were angry and crooked in their work, they taught their companions according to their own thirsty reasoning.
6At that time, they shall know that the dead will rise, and they shall know they are judged because they did not believe in the Resurrection.
7For we are all Adam's children, and we have died because of Adam; the judgment of death has found us all from the Lord because of the error of our father, Adam.
8We will again arise there with our father Adam to receive our hardship according to the works we performed.
9Because Adam infringed upon the Lord's Command, we received hardship. Our flesh melted like wax in the grave, and our bodies perished.
10The Earth drank our marrow; we perished, and our beauty perished in the grave. Our flesh was buried, and our beautiful words were buried in the Earth.
11Worms came from our shining eyes; our features perished in the grave and became dust.
12Where is the beauty of the youth, who were attractive, whose stance was handsome, and whose words were successful? Where is the strength of the warriors?
13Where are the kings' armies, or the lordship of the nobles? Where is the adornment of horses, the silver and gold, and the shining weapons? Did they not all perish?
14Where is the sweet drink of the vine, or the flavor of food?
