3 Meqabyan 4:1-36
1The Lord has it in His power to ransom Adam, and He shall put you the Devil to shame. He will save a sheep from a wolf's mouth - that is, Adam from the Devil.
2However, you shall go toward Gehenna, taking with you the people whom you ruled.
3Those who kept the Law of their Creator, the Lord, shall be joyful with Him.
4But the Lord - who chose you and gave you more than all the Angels like you so that you might praise Him - withheld a lofty throne from you because of your arrogance.
5Instead, you became infamous and were called one who loves false godhood, and your hosts were called demons.
6But those who loved the Lord shall be His kindred, like the honored Angels; and the Seraphim and Cherubim who praise Him stretch forth their wings and praise Him without ceasing.
7But in your arrogance and laziness, you destroyed your own praise, though you were meant to praise Him always.
8Lest the praise of the Lord be diminished when you forgot to praise Him, He created Adam in your place.
9But in the arrogance of your reasoning, you neglected the praise of the Lord who created you; therefore He was angry with you. He ridiculed you, bound you, and banished you to Gehenna.
10He brought soil from the Earth with His glorified Hands; and adding fire, water, and wind, He created Adam in His own Example and Features.
11He appointed him over all the creation He made by His authority, so that His praise might be fulfilled by the praise you should have given Him.
12But in the stubbornness of your reasoning and your arrogance, you were humbled from your rank; and having departed from the Lordship of the One who created you, you destroyed yourself.
13Know that His praise was not diminished; for the Lord created Adam, who praised Him in the counsel of his reasoning.
14For He knows all things before they are done. He knew you before He created you - that you would demolish His Command.
15Just as Solomon spoke, saying: Before the hills were created, and before the world was successfully made, and before the winds that are the foundations of the Earth were created.
16And before He established the foundations of the hills and mountains, and before the work of this world was set, and before the light of the moon and Sun shone.
17And before daylight and night alternated, and before the sea was bounded by sand - before any of the created beings were made.
18And before all that is seen today was seen, or any names called today were named - I, Solomon, was created. Angels like you, and His servant Adam, were already in the Lord's Mind.
19He created Adam so that His glorified Name might be praised when you mutinied, and so He might be praised by His humble servant Adam when you became arrogant.
20For being in Heaven, the Lord hears the plea of the poor, and He loves the praise of the humble.
21He loves to save those in whom He dwells who fear Him; yet as He does not love the power of horses, the Lord shall ignore the deeds of the arrogant.
22And they shall weep while they cry out because of the sins they committed.
23You the Devil failed to plead in repentance.
24But Adam, who was created from Earth, returned in repentance, weeping bitterly before the Lord because of his sin.
25But in your stubbornness and your heart's arrogance, you did not know the work of Love, nor did you know repentance.
26But Adam, who is ashes and earth, returned to repentance in mourning and sadness, and he returned to humility and the work of Love.
27But you did not humble your reasoning or yourself before the Lord who created you.
28As for Adam, he humbled himself and pleaded regarding the iniquity he committed; he was not proud.
29As you have totally produced crime, it originated from you; yet it was not Adam who produced that error.
30Before He created you both, He knew you were sinners; and knowing your works, He knew that what was done came from the arrogance of your heart.
31But He restored Adam - who was without arrogance or malice - through repentance, mourning, and sadness.
32For a person who does wrong and does not plead in repentance has multiplied his iniquity more than his earlier sins.
33He has truly repented. He has found the work by which he will be saved, so that he might fear the Heart of his Lord.
34If he does not return to his former sin and continues in this way, this is perfect repentance.
35And you the Devil - plead in repentance toward your Creator, and do not wrong them because they are flesh and blood.
36And after their souls are separated from their flesh, their flesh shall be dust until the day the Lord chooses.
