Enoch 37:1-5

Enoch begins the second vision of wisdom, addressing both ancient and future generations. He declares that three parables of wisdom have been granted...

The vision which he saw, the second vision of wisdom, which Enoch son of Jared, son of Mahalalel, son of Kenan, son of Enosh, son of Seth, son of Adam, saw.

And this is the beginning of the word of wisdom which I lifted up to speak, and I said to those who dwell upon the dry land: Hear, O ancient ones, and behold, you who come after, the holy words which I speak before the Lord of Spirits.

It were better to declare them only to the ancient ones, yet from those who come after we will not withhold the beginning of wisdom.

Until now there has not been granted by the Lord of Spirits such wisdom as I have received according to my insight, according to the good pleasure of the Lord of Spirits, from whom the lot of eternal life has been given to me.

And three parables were given to me, and I lifted up my voice and recounted them to those who dwell upon the dry land.
