1 Enoch 52:1-9

¹And after those days, in that place where I had seen all the visions of what is hidden — for I had been carried off by a whirlwind of the winds, and they had borne me away to the west —

²there my eyes beheld all the hidden things of heaven that shall come to pass upon the earth: a mountain of iron, and a mountain of copper, and a mountain of silver, and a mountain of gold, and a mountain of soft metal, and a mountain of lead.

³And I asked the angel who was going with me, saying, "What are these things which I have seen in secret?"

⁴And he said to me, "All these things which you have seen serve the dominion of His Anointed One, that he may be powerful and mighty upon the earth."

⁵And that angel of peace answered me, saying, "Wait a little, and there shall be revealed to you all that is hidden, which the Lord of Spirits has planted.

⁶And as for these mountains which you have seen — the mountain of iron, and the mountain of copper, and the mountain of silver, and the mountain of gold, and the mountain of soft metal, and the mountain of lead — all of them shall be before the Chosen One as wax melted before the face of fire, and as water which comes down from above upon these mountains, and they shall become feeble before his feet.

⁷And it shall come to pass in those days that none shall be saved, neither by gold nor by silver, nor shall any be able to save himself or to flee.

⁸And there shall be no iron for war, nor garment for a breastplate; bronze shall be of no use, and tin shall be of no use and shall not be reckoned, and lead shall not be desired.

⁹All these things shall be denied and destroyed from the face of the earth when the Chosen One shall appear before the face of the Lord of Spirits.
