Enoch 103:1-13
And now I swear to you, you righteous ones, by his great glory and his honor, and by his glorious kingdom and by his majesty I swear to you; for I know this mystery, and I have read on the tablets of heaven and seen the writing of the holy ones, and I found written in it and inscribed concerning them:
that all good things and joy and honor have been prepared for them and written down for the spirits of those who died in righteousness; and much good shall be given to you in return for your toil, and your portion shall be greater than the portion of the living.
And the spirits of you who have died in righteousness shall live, and their spirits shall rejoice and be glad, and their memorial shall be before the face of the Great One for all the generations of the world. And now fear not their reproach.
Woe to you, you sinners, when you die in your sin, and those who are like you say of you, 'Blessed are the sinners: they have seen all their days.'
'And now they have died in prosperity and in wealth, and tribulation and slaughter they did not see in their life, and they have died in honor, and judgment was not executed upon them in their life.'
Know that their souls will be brought down to Sheol, and they will be wretched, and their tribulation great.
And into darkness and into a snare and into a flame that burns, unto the great judgment, your spirit shall enter, and the great judgment shall be upon all the generations forever. Woe to you, for you have no peace.
Say not to the righteous and to the good who are in life, 'In the days of our toil we have toiled wearily and have seen every labor and found much evil, and we have been consumed and become few and our spirit small.
And we have been destroyed, and there was no one to help us by word or by deed; we were powerless and found nothing. We were crushed and destroyed, and had no hope of seeing life from day to day.
We hoped to be the head, and we became the tail. We toiled as we labored, and did not have mastery over our toil; and we became food for the sinners, and the lawless made their yoke heavy upon us.
They gained dominion over us, those who hate us and those who goad us; and to those who hate us we bowed our necks, and they had no mercy on us.
We desired to get away from them, that we might escape and find rest, but we found no place whither we might flee and be safe from them.
And we complained of them to the rulers in our tribulation, and cried out against those who devoured us, but they did not regard our cry, nor did they wish to hear our voice. And they aided those who plundered us and devoured us, and those who made us few; and they concealed their oppression and did not remove from us their yoke, but they devoured us and scattered us and killed us, and they concealed our slaughter, and did not remember that they lifted up their hands against us.'
