1 Enoch 17:1-8

¹And they took me up to a place where those who were there were like flaming fire, and when they wished, they appeared as men.

²And they brought me to the place of the storm-wind, and to a mountain whose summit reached to heaven.

³And I saw the places of the lights and the treasuries of the stars and of the thunder, and to the uttermost depths, where there were a fiery bow and arrows and their quivers, and a fiery sword and all the lightnings.

⁴And they brought me to the living waters, and to the fire of the west, which receives every setting of the sun.

⁵And I came to a river of fire whose fire flows like water, and it pours out into the great sea which is toward the west.

⁶I saw the great rivers, and I came to the great river and to the great darkness, and I went where no flesh walks.

⁷I saw the mountains of the darkness of winter, and the place whence flows all the water of the deep.

⁸I saw the mouths of all the rivers of the earth and the mouth of the deep.
