Enoch 18:1-16

Enoch witnesses the treasuries of winds, the four pillars supporting heaven and earth, and seven mountains of precious stones. He then sees a desolate...

I saw the treasuries of all the winds, and I saw how with them he has adorned all creation, and the foundations of the earth.

I saw the cornerstone of the earth; I saw the four winds which bear the earth and the firmament of heaven.

I saw how the winds stretch out the height of heaven, and how they stand between heaven and earth: these are the pillars of heaven.

I saw the winds that turn the heaven, that cause the disc of the sun and all the stars to set.

I saw the winds over the earth that bear the clouds; I saw the paths of the angels; I saw at the ends of the earth the firmament of heaven above.

And I went on and saw a place that burns day and night, where there are seven mountains of precious stones — three toward the east and three toward the south.

And of those toward the east, one was of colored stone, and one of pearl, and one of healing stone; and those toward the south were of red stone.

But the middle one reached to heaven, like the throne of God, of alabaster, and the summit of the throne was of sapphire.

And I saw a blazing fire. And beyond these mountains

is a region at the edge of the great earth; there the heavens come to an end.

And I saw a deep chasm, with pillars of heavenly fire, and I saw among them pillars of fire descending, which were immeasurable both in height and in depth.

And beyond this chasm I saw a place which had no firmament of heaven above, nor foundation of earth beneath it: there was no water upon it, and no birds, but it was a desolate and terrible place.

I saw there seven stars like great burning mountains, and like spirits when they questioned me.

The angel said: 'This place, until the consummation of heaven and earth, is the prison of the stars and of the host of heaven.'

And the stars that roll over the fire are those which transgressed the command of the Lord from the beginning of their rising, because they did not come out in their appointed times.

And he was angry with them and bound them until the time of the completion of their sin, in the year of the mystery.
