1 Enoch 71:1-17

¹And it came to pass after this that my spirit was caught up and ascended into the heavens. I saw the sons of the angels treading upon flames of fire; their garments were white, and their robes, and the light of their faces was like snow.

²And I saw two streams of fire, and the light of that fire shone like hyacinth. And I fell on my face before the Lord of Spirits.

³And the angel Michael, one of the archangels, took hold of me by my right hand and lifted me up and brought me out to all the hidden things of mercy and the hidden things of righteousness.

⁴And he showed me all the hidden things of the ends of heaven, and all the storehouses of the stars and the luminaries—whence they all come forth before the face of the holy ones.

⁵And the spirit carried Enoch away into the heaven of heavens; and I saw there, in the midst of that light, something built of stones of crystal, and in the midst of those stones tongues of living fire.

⁶And my spirit saw a circle encompassing that house of fire; on its four sides were streams full of living fire, and they encircled that house.

⁷And round about were Seraphim, Cherubim, and Ophanim: these are they who do not sleep, but keep watch over the throne of his glory.

⁸And I saw angels who could not be counted—ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands—surrounding that house; and Michael and Raphael and Gabriel and Phanuel, and the holy angels who are above the heavens, went in and came out of that house.

⁹And there came forth from that house Michael and Gabriel, Raphael and Phanuel, and many holy angels beyond number.

¹⁰And with them was the Head of Days, and his head was white and pure as wool, and his garment was indescribable.

¹¹And I fell on my face, and all my flesh melted, and my spirit was transformed; and I cried out with a loud voice, with a spirit of power, and I blessed and praised and exalted.

¹²And these blessings which went forth out of my mouth were pleasing before that Head of Days.

¹³And that Head of Days came with Michael and Gabriel, Raphael and Phanuel, and tens of thousands and thousands of thousands of angels without number.

¹⁴And that angel came to me and greeted me with his voice and said to me: "You are the Son of Man who was born for righteousness, and righteousness dwells upon you, and the righteousness of the Head of Days will not forsake you."

¹⁵And he said to me: "He proclaims peace to you in the name of the world that is to come; for from there peace has gone forth since the creation of the world, and so shall it be for you forever and ever and ever.

¹⁶And all shall walk in your way, since righteousness never forsakes you; with you shall be their dwelling, and with you their lot, and from you they shall not be parted forever and ever and ever.

¹⁷And so shall there be length of days with that Son of Man, and the righteous shall have peace, and the path of uprightness shall be for the righteous, in the name of the Lord of Spirits forever and ever."
