Enoch 76:1-14

Enoch describes twelve gates at earth's ends where winds emerge from all directions, with four gates producing blessing winds and eight producing dest...

And at the ends of the earth I saw twelve gates open for all the winds, from which the winds go forth and blow upon the earth.

Three of them are open in the face of heaven, and three in the west, and three on the right of heaven, and three on the left.

And the first three are those toward the east, and three toward the north, and three behind — those on the left — toward the south, and three in the west.

Through four of them come forth winds of blessing and peace, and from the other eight come forth winds of chastisement; when they are sent forth, they lay waste all the earth, and the water that is upon it, and all who dwell upon it, and everything that is in the water and upon the dry land.

And the first wind comes forth from those gates, which is called the east wind, through the first gate that is toward the east, which inclines toward the south; from it comes forth devastation, drought, heat, and destruction.

And through the second gate, the middle one, comes forth what is right; and from it come forth rain and fruitfulness and peace and dew. And through the third gate, which is toward the north, comes forth cold and drought.

And after these, the winds toward the south come forth through three gates: the first through the foremost gate among them, which inclines toward the east — from it comes forth a hot wind.

And through the gate next to it, the middle one, there comes forth from it a good fragrance, and dew, and rain, and peace, and life.

And through the third gate, which is toward the west, there come forth from it dew and rain and locusts and devastation.

And after these, the winds toward the north — which is called the sea — from the seventh gate, which is toward the east, which inclines toward the south: from it come forth dew and rain, locusts and devastation.

And from the middle gate, the straight one, there come forth from it rain and dew and life and peace. And through the third gate, which is toward the west, which inclines toward the north, there come forth from it mist and hoarfrost and snow and rain and dew and locusts.

And after these, the four winds toward the west: through the first gate, which inclines toward the north, there comes forth from it dew and rain and hoarfrost and cold and snow and frost.

And from the middle gate come forth dew and rain, peace and blessing. And through the last gate, which is toward the south, there comes forth from it drought and devastation, burning heat and destruction.

And the twelve gates of the four quarters of heaven are completed; and all their orders, and all their chastisements, and their peace I have shown you, my son Methuselah.
