1 Enoch 8:1-4

¹And Azazel taught men to make swords and knives and shields and breastplates, and he showed them the metals of the earth and how they should work gold, to fashion it for adornment, and concerning silver, to make it into bracelets for women. And he showed them concerning antimony and eye-paint and all manner of precious stones and dyes.

²And there came to be great godlessness, and they committed fornication and went astray, and all their ways became corrupt.

³Semyaza taught enchantments and the cutting of roots; Armaros taught the loosing of enchantments; Baraqiel taught astrology; Kokabiel taught the signs; Tamiel taught the observation of the stars; and Asradel taught the course of the moon.

⁴And as men were perishing, the cry went up to heaven.
