Enoch reveals a ten-week apocalyptic chronology, describing seven weeks of human history from his birth through cosmic judgment, during which righteou...

And after this Enoch arose and began to speak from the books.

And Enoch said: "Concerning the sons of righteousness, and concerning the chosen of the world, and concerning the plant of righteousness and uprightness — of these things I will speak to you and make them known to you, my children, I myself, Enoch. According to that which has been shown to me from the heavenly vision, and which I have known from the word of the holy angels, and have understood from the tablets of heaven."

And Enoch then began to speak from the books and said: "I was born the seventh in the first week, while judgment and righteousness still endured.

And after me in the second week great wickedness shall arise, and deceit shall have sprung up; and in it shall be the end of the first, and in it a man shall be saved. And after it is ended, iniquity shall grow great, and He shall make a law for the sinners.

And after this, in the third week, at its conclusion, a man shall be chosen as the plant of righteous judgment, and after him shall come the plant of righteousness forever.

And after this, in the fourth week, at its conclusion, visions of the holy and righteous shall be seen, and a law for all generations and an enclosure shall be made for them.

And after this, in the fifth week, at its conclusion, the house of glory and of dominion shall be built forever.

And after this, in the sixth week, all who live in it shall be blinded, and the hearts of them all shall forget wisdom; and in it a man shall ascend. And at its conclusion the house of dominion shall be burned with fire, and in it the whole race of the chosen root shall be scattered.

And after this, in the seventh week, an apostate generation shall arise, and many shall be its deeds, and all its deeds shall be apostasy.

And at its conclusion the chosen righteous shall be rewarded from the eternal plant of righteousness, to whom shall be given sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.

For who is there of all the sons of men who is able to hear the voice of the Holy One without being shaken? And who is there who is able to think His thoughts? And who is there who is able to behold all the works of heaven?

And what is he who is able to understand the work of heaven, and to see a soul or a spirit, and to tell of it, or to ascend and see all their wings and consider them, or to do as they do?

And who is there of all men who is able to know what is the breadth and the length of the earth, and to whom has been shown the measure of them all?

Or is there any man who is able to know the length of the heavens, and what is their height, and upon what they are established, and how great is the number of the stars, and where all the luminaries rest?
