1 Enoch 67:1-13

¹And in those days the word of God came to me, and he said to me: 'Noah, behold, your lot has come up before me, a lot without blame, a lot of love and uprightness.'

²'And now the angels are fashioning a wooden vessel, and when the angels have completed that task, I will lay my hand upon it and preserve it, and from it shall come forth the seed of life, and an exchange shall take place, that the dry land may not remain empty.'

³'And I will establish your seed before me forever and ever, and I will scatter abroad those who dwell with you upon the face of the dry land, and they shall be blessed and multiplied upon the face of the earth in the name of the Lord.'

⁴And they shall imprison those angels who showed forth iniquity in that burning valley which my great-grandfather Enoch had previously shown me in the west, by the mountains of gold and silver and iron and molten metal and tin.

⁵And I saw that valley in which there was a great convulsion and a convulsing of the waters.

⁶And when all this took place, from that molten fire and from the convulsing which convulsed them in that place, there was produced the smell of sulphur, and it mingled with those waters; and that valley of the angels who had led astray burns beneath that ground.

⁷And through its valleys there come forth streams of fire where those angels are judged who led astray those who dwell upon the dry land.

⁸But those waters shall in those days serve the kings and the mighty and the exalted and those who dwell upon the dry land for the healing of soul and body, and for the judgment of the spirit and the delusion. Their spirit is filled with lust, that their flesh may be punished, because they have denied the Lord of Spirits, and they see their punishment every day, yet they do not believe in his name.

⁹And in proportion as the burning of their bodies becomes severe, a corresponding change shall take place in their spirit forever and ever; for before the Lord of Spirits none shall utter an idle word.

¹⁰For the judgment shall come upon them, because they believe in the lust of their flesh and deny the spirit of the Lord.

¹¹And those same waters shall undergo a change in those days; for when those angels are judged in those days, the heat of those fountains of waters shall be changed, and when the angels ascend, that water of the fountains shall be changed and shall become cold.

¹²And I heard Michael the holy one answering and saying: 'This judgment by which the angels are judged is a testimony against the kings and the mighty and those who possess the dry land.'

¹³'For these waters of judgment serve for the healing of the body of the angels and for the death of their flesh, but they do not perceive and do not believe that these waters shall be changed and shall become a fire that burns forever.'
