Enoch 73:1-8
And after this ordinance I saw another ordinance for a lesser luminary, whose name is the moon.
And its circuit is like the circuit of heaven, and its chariot in which it rides is driven by the wind; and light is given to it by measure.
And every month its rising and its setting change; and its days are like the days of the sun. And when its light is full, its light is a seventh part of the light of the sun.
And thus it rises: its first phase toward the east comes forth on the thirtieth morning; and on that day it becomes visible, and it becomes for you the beginning of the month on the thirtieth morning, together with the sun in the gate through which the sun goes forth.
And one half of it extends a seventh part of one, and its whole disk is empty, without light, except for one-seventh part of it, a fourteenth part of its light.
And on the day when it receives a seventh part and a half of its light, its light amounts to seven and a half parts of one; and its half sets with the sun.
And when the sun rises, the moon rises with it, and receives half a part of light; and on that night, at the beginning of its morning, on the first day of the month, the moon sets with the sun, and is darkened on that night by seven and seven parts and a half.
And it rises on that day with exactly one seventh part, and it comes forth and recedes from the rising of the sun, and shines for the remainder of its day seven and seven parts.
