1 Enoch 91:1-16

¹And now, my son Methuselah, call to me all your brothers, and gather to me all the children of your mother, for a word calls me, and the spirit has been poured out upon me, that I may show you all that shall come upon you forever.

²And thereupon Methuselah went and called all his brothers to him and gathered together his kinfolk. And he spoke to all his children in righteousness and said: Hear, my children, every word of your father, and give heed aright to the word of my mouth; for I testify to you and I declare to you, my beloved: love uprightness and walk in it.

³And do not draw near to uprightness with a divided heart, nor associate with those of a divided heart; but walk in righteousness, my children, and it shall guide you in good paths, and righteousness shall be your companion.

⁴For I know that the condition of violence shall grow strong upon the earth, and a great scourge shall be brought to completion upon the earth, and all iniquity shall be brought to an end and shall be cut off from its roots, and every structure of it shall pass away.

⁵And iniquity shall once again arise, and every deed of iniquity and deed of violence and transgression shall be consummated a second time upon the earth.

⁶And when iniquity and sin and blasphemy and violence grow great in every work, and apostasy and transgression and uncleanness increase, a great scourge shall come from heaven upon them all; and the holy Lord shall go forth in wrath and in scourging, to execute judgment upon the earth.

⁷In those days violence shall be cut off from its roots, and the roots of iniquity together with deceit, and they shall be destroyed from under heaven.

⁸And all the idols of the nations shall be given over with their tower to be burned in fire, and they shall take them away from the whole earth, and they shall be cast into the judgment of fire, and they shall be destroyed in wrath and in the mighty judgment that is forever.

⁹And the righteous one shall arise from sleep, and wisdom shall arise and be given to them.

¹⁰And thereupon the roots of iniquity shall be cut off, and the sinners shall be destroyed by the sword; from the blasphemers they shall be cut off in every place; and those who plan violence and those who commit blasphemy shall perish by the sword.

¹¹And after this there shall come another, the eighth week, which is of righteousness, and to it shall be given a sword, that judgment and righteousness may be executed upon those who practice violence, and the sinners shall be delivered into the hands of the righteous. And at its close they shall acquire houses through their righteousness, and a house shall be built for the great King in glory forever.

¹²And after this, in the ninth week, in it the righteous judgment shall be revealed to all the world, and every work of the wicked shall depart from the whole earth, and it shall be written down for destruction forever, and all humankind shall look to the path of uprightness. And after this, in the tenth week, in the seventh part, in it shall be the eternal judgment, and it shall be executed upon the Watchers; and the great eternal heaven shall spring forth from the midst of the angels.

¹³And the first heaven shall depart and pass away, and a new heaven shall appear, and all the powers of the heavens shall give light sevenfold forever.

¹⁴And after this there shall be many weeks without number forever, and they shall be in goodness and in righteousness, and sin shall no more be mentioned there forever.

¹⁵And now I tell you, my children, and I show you the paths of righteousness and the paths of violence, and I show you again that you may know what is to come.

¹⁶And now hear, my children, and walk in the paths of righteousness, and do not walk in the paths of violence, for all who walk in the path of iniquity shall perish forever.
